2008 Boater/Non-Boater Cycle for Club Tournaments

The following represents the boater numbers to be drawn for the 2008 season, which determines when you get a non-boater for a tournament. Those boaters who get a non-boater will be paired by draw. We presently have 19 boaters and 5 non-boaters. The following example should explain this system. For example: If we had 19 boaters and 5 non-boaters for the 1st club tournament, then boater #'s 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 would get a non-boater for that tournament and boater #'s 6-22 would go solo. Then the 2nd club tournament, boaters 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 would get non-boaters (if the # of non-boaters remained at 5). If the # of non-boaters changes from one tournament to the next, then we just appropriate the necessary # of boaters and continue from that point. If a boater misses his turn to have a non-boater, then he just gets a non-boater the next tournament he fishes to make up for it (the same thing would result if a boater had mechanical problems and did not have use of his boat for a tournament). If anyone becomes a boater during the season they will simply be added to the end of the boater # list. Finally, if a guest fishes a tournament as a boater he would be added as the first boater to get a non-boater for that tournament and then the cycle would continue (the guest boater would obviously be removed from the cycle at the end of the tournament and the cycle would continue as normal for the next tournament).  If a guest enters as a non-boater he/she would go into the boater draw and the next boater in the cycle would be utilized.  If a guest is under the age of 18 and related to a club member, they may choose to go as a non-boater with that family member for that tournament.
